Arbitrating in a Digital World: Fair and Expeditious Management of Electronic Discovery
This year the "Putting the "e" in Neutral" Series is focusing on arbitrators as e-neutrals. The course is approved for the American Arbitration Association® Arbitrator Continuing Education Credits. Mediators, special masters, judges and discovery referees will also benefit from this training. The program begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m. Each attendee receives a 250+ page reference manual specifically designed for e-Neutrals. Breakfast, lunch and networking reception included. The Agenda is attached below to learn more.
"I found this seminar very valuable and worth the time and money. Most of the information I get about law and tactics regarding the discovery and use of Electronically Stored Information (ESI) is aimed at a court context. I learned important differences that I have to understand as an arbitrator (and also as a mediator!). I appreciated the live seminar format because of the interactive contributions from the other seasoned arbitrators." - Paul M. Lurie, Arbitrator/Mediator at Schiff & Hardin LLP, Chicago
"I attended the AAA/ACESIN jointly sponsored program “Arbitrating in a Digital World: Fair and Expeditious Management of Electronic Discovery” with the hope that I would leave with knowledge of the lexicon and current “state of the law” of the e-discovery world. I left with that knowledge, but also a collection of reference materials including case law citations, order templates and most important – a sensitivity to and understanding of the economic and technical issues presented by e-discovery disputes in addition to a much deeper understanding of the legal questions and underpinnings of the decisions which have been reported. Additionally, I left with access to a network of professionals with whom I can communicate to share thoughts, concerns, and find answers. I was so impressed with and pleased by the program that the following day I submitted my application and paid my fee to become a member of ACESIN." - James Reiman, Arbitrator at Reiman ADR, Chicago
"After many years of attending and conducting training programs, I can without hesitation that the ACESIN course of instruction for e-neutrals ranks at the very top. It is well-planned and delivered, direct and to the point, informative, interesting, and should be required for all those who have the opportunity to stand at the cutting edge of e-discovery as it takes its place as a 21st Century legal phenomenon." -A. Marco Turk, Professor Emeritus of Negotiation, Conflict Resolution & Peacebuilding, California State University Dominguez Hills.
